Freestone Equipment Ltd was an old idea and a new desire to build a company by building each product.

20+ years ago I was climbing all the time, obsessed. I made myself a little rack for carrying climbing gear. I made extras, gave them to friends and promptly forgot about it. Years later as I was thinking about developing a product that I could manufacture under the constraints of local materials and labor, one of those buddies pulled an OG Love Handle out of his bag after 20+ years of continuous use. 18 months later I had a product and a repeatable manufacturing method and a mini factory. I great lesson for a product designer to take a product all the way to market, personally doing every step.
